Your privacy and trust matter.
1. Confidentiality
• Our sessions are confidential. What you share stays private, with these legal exceptions:
- If you or someone else is at serious risk of harm.
- If there is any discussion around criminal activity which include but are not limited to child abuse/neglect, domestic violence and sexual assault, human trafficking and terrorism.
- If required by law (e.g., court order, safeguarding concerns).
- If discussed in professional supervision (your identity is protected).
2. GDPR & Data Protection
• I comply with UK/EU GDPR and safeguard your personal data by:
- Storing notes securely (encrypted or locked).
- Keeping contact details only as long as necessary.
- I will never sharing your information without your consent (unless legally required).
• You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
3. Online & Digital Security
• Email/Video sessions use encrypted platforms (e.g., Doxy, Whatsapp).
• Text/phone counselling is not 100% secure—I’ll discuss the risks with you should this be your chosen option.
Full details will be listed in the therapy contract and sent to you prior to the start of our sessions.
