You Deserve a Therapist Who Listens - Without Judgement

If you're reading this, you might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about therapy. Maybe you've tried to ‘figure it out’ alone, but things haven’t changed. I want you to know: it’s okay to ask for help. My name is Ivan Hall, and as a BACP-registered counsellor with over 20 years experience of working in mental health and education, I provide a safe, confidential space where you can untangle your thoughts, heal, and move forward—at your own pace
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My background in mental health, education, and personal experience as an adoptive parent has shown me how deeply our stories shape us. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, adoption-related challenges, or a sense of being ‘lost,’ I’ll work with you to find a path that feels right. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like Transactional Analysis—tailored to your unique history and needs.
I became a counsellor because I believe everyone deserves to be truly heard. In our sessions, you won’t get textbook advice or rushed solutions. Instead, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface—the patterns, fears, or unresolved experiences holding you back—so you can build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
As a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I adhere to their ethical framework.
Therapy is a big step, and it’s normal to feel unsure. If you’d like to ask questions or see if we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. No pressure, no obligation - just a chance to talk. Get in contact.
